Heading through here will lead you to the Palace Doors. Just remember, smile and bow, and things just might get easier for you.

[Enter Cash from Canterlot Train Station]
Well, the trot took longer than expected, but nevertheless, he finally made it. And by celestia, was this just mentally scaring. Plants were dead, trees were fallen over. Once in a while there would be this bubbling puddle of green goop. In a word; nasty. Cash cautiously walked up to the gatesĀ and gave a few light knocks. When nothing happened, Cash decided to put a little more force. This time, the knock was hard enough to send a metallic ring across the area. Unfortunately, Cash left a pretty big dent by accident. "Whoops.."

Goddesses there was something seriously wrong with those two. The way they just didn't do or say anything, it creeped Strong right the buck out. I mean i'm the one that looks like they just got out of the ER but, those guards had something wrong with them. Strong walked up to the gate and sat down to wait for Astral to show up.

[Enter: Astral Midnight from the Falls]
Astral caught up to his unicorn friend at the gate. After catching his breath, Astral said, "Listen.. There's something I should tell you ahead of time, though you may already know part of it. The Queen probably won't take kindly to you, since you were part of the guard. And I know that yo probably won't pledge full allegiance to her, ever. So, if things go south, I'll try my best to not let her kill you."
Astral had thought about it on the way here, and decided that he would save his friend if needed. Even if that meant that they had to be in debt to her. Pretty much anything is better than death. But Astral hoped that the situation wouldn't come up through this encounter.

Strong was a little surprised by want Astral had said to him. He didn't think there was much Astral could do to help him now but, it was still nice for him to offer. Strong was thinking about what he was going to do when he met the Queens. I might as well go all out if I want this to work.
"thank Astral, that means a lot. Now give me a second, I just need to do something."
Strong took his armor out his bag before putting it on. If he was go to met the Queens then he might as well look his best, besides they were going to find out he was a lunar guard anyway.
"Ok then I am ready. Lets us get going, we shouldn't keep the Queens waiting."
Strong open the gates just like he had a 100 times before and when into the place.

[Enter Noble Persona from the Main Street]
He paused at the gates, beyond which lay his destination and goal. For a moment, he felt his confidence slip. Memories of the palace in its splendour, albeit viewed from afar, rushed to mind. He shook his head and steeled his nerves, trying to suppress anything that could give the Changelings a read on what he was thinking or feeling as he approached the doors of the once mighty palace.

[Enter Sultan Azarin, and a host of twenty guard ponies.]
Ah, the fallen city... What a grotesque sight. Having only been in Equestria for a few days, the recently crowned Sultan of Saddle Arabia already wished to go home. The weather was cold and wet, the winds were cruel and the populace was much more standoffish than the sand brown stallion remembered. His last visit to Equestria dated back roughly five years ago, back when the sister Alicorn's were still the Monarchs and Azarin himself was still a Prince. Things have certainly changed since then, and Azarin couldn't desern if these changes were for the better.
On the plus side, the country side seemed less wartorn than it had been when the Changelings were considered a threat, rather than the rulers. On the other hoof, it was clear that the non-changeling population was being subjugated. As much as it saddened him to see, there was nothing the Sultan could do about it. This was Equestria after all, not Saddle Arabia; he was not the ruler here, merely an outsider.
Looking out of the side of his carriage, Azarin couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of the sharp, cruel looking gate. Yep, this was definitely Queen Chrysalis' city.
His father, Sultan Saladin, had gone to war with the Changeling Queen before... Let's hope that she is not a believer in 'the sins of the father passing down to the son'.

[Enter Plush Ramen & Orange Glow]
Stepping off of the steps and into the fresh wide open skies of the outside world, the mare closed her eyes. Allowing the breeze to take her by surprise, the gentle wave of her mane across her eyes had only signaled her realization, she should have gotten a hair cut. Opening up her blue orbs once more, Plush turned to the changeling mare, her breathing patterns relaxing slightly more to the outside weather then to the emotional storms of the inside.
"Just out here.. it looks like a bomb exploded."
Checking out the scenery, her eyes couldnt quite adjust to what she saw. Homes were crumbling, streets were filled with pain, and every direction she looked in, seemed worse off then before. Catching an eye on a few construction workers however trying to rebuild the city, it seemed at least there were some attempts to be had of this new ruling.

"We got a small walk ahead of us" Orange sighed. The ponies around them were staring and not at Plush at her. She looked at the cobblestone path they walked on and sighed heavily.

Walking with the changeling, questionable eyes watched as citizens gave odd looks to the scene before them. Not quite understanding why Orange Glow was getting harsh mental responses, the mares mind flashed back to the prison. Orange was never accepted.. not by ponies nor changelings. In a way.. they were the same. Hurt for the mare in front of her, Plush picked up her pace to stand next to her.
"Right.."

Orange looked to the mare next to her and smiled softly at her. She continued down this path for a little bit. Soon more and more ponies would notice Orange and begin chatting amongst themselves. Thus visavbly caused Orange to become uneasy. She looked over the town before then.
"This.. Is all my fault you know."

Stopping as Orange Glow spoke, the mare stared in confusion at her words. Shaking her head, Plush wasn't sure what to do. While making ponies feel better wasn't her strong suite, she knew she just had to try. Placing a hoof to her shoulder, this took more courage then the orange mare cared to admit. Turning to face her, Plush Ramen tried to straighten things out.
"Orange. No. This is not your fault. These creatures are just looking for someone to blame. You did nothing wrong. You chose to survive. Orange Glow, you can blame me, but don't blame yourself.."

"You unleased me.. I turned on all of them. To survive sure.. But still." She stopped walking and sat down looking at the state of ruin.
"I want to help fix this place, but you see how they look at me"

"You.. still can. Make friends, get out there. The world isnt over, its far from it."
Running her hoof through her mane and unsure how to help from here, Plush looked around. All of the soldiers this place had, and it still looked like crap? Thinking of an idea, the mare nudged Orange lightly. Hoping to gain her attention, Plush stepped back.
"We need paint. Lots of it. And some tools. Surely any kind will do. Whats not left of old homes, we can use the wood for new ones. Get ponies and changelings to volunteer together. They could do it. You could do it."

Orange looked at Plush with a confused look. She certainly was nothing like the made she remembered. Orange never got to meet the Plush before the darkness.
"I suppose I could.. But I swear of there's an upbeat song being played I'll kill them all" She smirked a bit

Offering a small smile, despite not knowing anything about construction, she was willing to try. Looking around, it seemed there was quite the amount of work to be had, keeping positive, she nodded firmly. Remembering where the old art store was, perhaps starting there was a good idea, and some fun for the public as well. Laughing lightly to the changelings comment, she almost forgot what it was like to laugh.. the feeling so strange to her lips.
"Mm I'll try my best. Know any tool shops?"

[Enter JO, Vaan and Astral]
Opening the palace doors and stepping out into the daylight, the afternoon sun felt nice and warm on his chitted skin. Glancing over at the garden, it certainly needed.. work to say the least. Wishing he had time to make it pretty for the Queen, the changeling sighed to himself. Not wishing to have silence forever, he turned to them. "Thank you both for helping our Queen. She is not the best at words, but does appreciate what creatures try to do for her and this kingdom."

Feeling his wings become tired, Vaan landed and began to walk. The warm walkway felt better than the cold tile of the palace, he decided to walk the rest of the way.
"It's no problem, "Vaan stated, "After what she's doing for me, I don't helping or serving her."

Astral looked around, just simply seeing what there was to see. After the changeling spoke, he replied quietly.
"Yeah.. She uh.. She's helping me as well.."
As they walked, he tripped on something that was barely visible. Luckily, he caught himself before hitting the ground and kept walking as though nothing happened.

"I am pleased." Glad to see both members of his party were grateful for their own reasons, JO shifted to give Astral a confused look of wonder. "Do you drag your hooves when you walk?" Both curious and hoping he was okay, the changeling did not wish to send him back with a scratch if it meant his head on the line. "You okay?"

Astral sighed and hung his head with a frown. "Yeah.. I'm fine.. Just clumsy.. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine."
He had seriously hoped that neither of them saw him trip, but he was wrong. He continued walking, trying to pay more attention to where he was walking.

"Very well young one."
Walking with his head held high, the changeling pushed through the gates. Holding it open for the two of them, JO wanted things to be perfect. Always wanting a little one of his own, the bug could only dream on.
"I too wish to have a daughter one day. She'd be the prettiest bug in the hive. Was yours this way sir?"

"Bug...no. Pretty...my stars, yes. Prettiest griffon in the territory," Vaan spoke, puffing his chest out with pride," She had her mother's eyes, softest wings, a coat of fur to die for, and the brightest shade of yellow on the tip of her crown feathers. That's the reason we named her Dandelion. I swear, she looks nothing like me, which isn't a bad thing. Her mother is the best looking of us two. Though, she's a trouble maker. That's from me."
The griffon walked through the gates with his eyes still shimmering with the thought of his child. She was the last thing in the world that he truly cared for. Thus, the only thing that truly brought him happiness.
Vaan gazed at JO with a slight smile, "...I'm not sure how changelings work with the whole children thing, but having your own kid is amazing. Costly, but nonetheless amazing."

Astral followed behind the two with his head down, halfway out of shame, the other half being so he didn't trip again. All the talk of having children didn't quite sit well with him, since he had grown up without parents, or even a home at that. He pushed the bad memories out of his mind once more as he continued walking, but couldn't help but try to picture his parents.

"You should be a proud father." Hearing about the griffon's daughter, JO had offered a smile in return. She had sounded so beautiful in his mind. Tempted to transform, the changeling had not dared to upset the creature if it so backfired. Picturing the soft wings to the little griffon that would some day make her father proud, JO had to refrain himself from getting involved much farther. Always being a stickler for children, he had closed the gate once each subject had left the area. Saluting the hidden guards, he walked away, leading them to the main street.

[Enter Queen Chrysalis]
Making her way down the stairs and towards the palace gates, her guards stationed there were as chipper as always, or not. Statued in their places, she had begun to wonder if the palace was more like a fortress then a place for citizens to come to her for concerns. Mentally noting this for a later argument, a clearing of the throat was all she'd need to gain their attention.
"Soldiers. You've been out here for hours. Go home."

[Enter Perspective Shift]
Perspective finally caught up to Chrysalis just as she dismissed the guards. He trotted up to her side, his grin still massive and addressed her question, "I do prefer to be called Percy, your Highness, and I am ecstatic to continue my lessons."
He had honestly thought that there was going to be several more lessons before they reached the shape shifting stage, but he wasn't complaining. Barely a day as Chrysalis' student and he was about to learn the core of changeling magic.
