Stepping into the hall with a welcoming grace, the Queen of Equestria had finally emerged. Looking to her guards as the level of emotions spewed from their guilt ridden faces, the royal mare clenched her teeth in frustration. So he decided to stay after all. Making her way towards the throne room with vigor, Chrysalis had nearly forgotten about Strong's follow. Pausing for a brief second, she turned to his attention.
"Defense! I need you to stand on guard as we enter this room. Do not for one second believe anything this stallion says. Do you understand?"

Stay in step with the queen, Strong made sure to stay close. He was well aware of the tyrant and had no intention of letting him have things his way. Nodding to the queen in knowledge, Strong spoke in a clam voice.
"I will, just don't mistake the mask of disinterest I wear to mislead others as a lack of awareness. Your safely is my first thought as always, but it's good to let others underestimate what you can do. It tends to be their last mistake."

Chuckling at his response, Chrysalis closes the distance to the double doored handle. "I am the Queen of Equestria. My powers feared by all. He of all ponies should know that." Tooting her own horn, a hoof went to fling open the door without much of a gentle take. If he was going to make himself at home, she was going to rip him a new one.
Flashing back to the days they first joined forces, the binding contract was clear. If any member of said group had grown sick or unable to rule, the closest leader would take charge. Just once, she wished that leader was Nightmare.

Strong walked up the hallway back to the throne room. Stopping outside the doors he waited for Orange.
"Are you ready?"

Orange had followed Strong and with a soft sigh shook her head. "No, not really, but what do I care. We need to get this over with"
