King Sombra likes closed spaces and curtains. He has several personal chambers - most unknown even to the guards - however it is believed he holds several meetings here, and on occasion, sleeps in here.

The sun rose and shined light on the sleeping black form that rested on the bed. Two groggy red eyes opened, and already purple mist began to leak from his tear ducts. Much like a cat, he arched his back and stretched out all his hooves, groaning slightly as he cracks his back in several places. Afterwards, he rests for a moment, simply looking at the floor in tired mindlessness. He occasionally blanked out from time to time; a side effect of being trapped in a room for a thousand years.

After a few minutes, he sits up and rubs his eye with a hoof. He looks to his pile of armor and levitates it over to him. Without a word he steps into it and sighs. Another dreamless night. Another uneventful day the King of All Monsters though to himself, already bored with the unplanned day ahead of him. There aren't any games planned for today, and he's already had three parties with the few nobles of the Crystal Empire already this week. There was very little for him to do - seeing as his advisers make all the decisions for him. No matter what he had in mind for his kingdom, the advisers always managed to think up something better, and he'd rather not endure that embarrassment again.

King Sombra slipped on his cape, then his crown and trotted to the mirror. He looked at all is teeth and admired their white shine. He made a few faces, then let his head turn to a glob of black mist with eyes and a mouth. This caused his crown to fall, so he quickly re-materialized and put his crown back on. With that all said & done, he trotted on out and decided to visit the throne room. The corpse he left on his throne probably needed to be replaced anyways. He didn't want another rat problem to deal with.
