Satan's game. Original fantasy. Fascinating. Here's the thing. We all love the idea, but the rules are multitudinous. You don't know em. I barely do. Not to mention dice. Hard to come up with. Harder to see over long distances. But the game exists and we all want to play it.
Enter the solution! I will make your character sheet. I will roll the rolls. I will post the rolls on here with a link to ensure you know what's going on. I will tell you what your actions accomplish and if they do or not (according to the rules) succeed. All you gotta worry about is one things. What your character can do and does.
The first thing I'm going to ask from you all is...pony or traditional. After that I need a list of what your character can do and how powerful, generally. Your characters attributes (strength, dexterity, constitution, intelligence, willpower, perception, charisma/attractiveness) are helpful, but not necessary.

Which edition are you using for this? Depending on the edition, I may know the rules for it. Especially if it's Pathfinder.

Pathfinder would be niiiice. And I know a third party released a campaign setting for mlp. Buuut. There's things like Moxie's paint and some other more organic abilities that we have amongst our players that would be difficult (though not impossible) to find or develop in pathfinder. So with that said, I was planning on using GERPS or Shadowrun.
Moxie, I got you covered.

Sweet! Alright. I'm assuming everyone is going to want to do pony. Now. I need your attributes as if you were playing pathfinder d&d. Dont worry about a pony template or anything, ill add that in later. You would be surprised how well it translates to GURPS. The only thing is, break up your perception and willpower out of wisdom. Idk why they originally lumped those two together, anyway. Also whatever your pony can do. Skills, combat skills and abilities, languages, etc. After that I can pound out something and get us started in a week or two.

They are separate in GURPS. But in D&D they're combined as Wisdom. It's a derivative stat that gets funneled into will saves and perception skills, making it oddly dichotic. For instance, you gain several points in wisdom as you age (according to the chart on age) but, we all know old age comes with loss of vision and hearing, not just better ability to read people and willpower. It's just we all know strength is strength. Con is con. Dex is dex(though some skills *might* be strength in certain situations), but wisdom, and certain aspects of charisma are debatable. Meh, sorry for rant.
GURPS does a good job of being exceptionally clear with attributes, so distinguishing willpower and perception ad much as possible would better enable me to form your character. As well as using your charisma as primarily an attractiveness attribute instead of some nebulous concept of social willpower and creativity.

Ah, I see. That's going to be a little confusing for me, though. See, I'd rather assign my stats myself, based on what fits best for Noble, but I don't know the GURPS system. Also, Charisma isn't always a physical attractiveness thing. I always thought it was more to do with one's personality (as in the Fallout games).

Once I have finished making all the sheets, I'll make them public and we can start soon after. Infortunately, because of the nature of the game I can't take too many more peeps and it's a first come, first serve kind of a thing. I would go ahead and assemble your character anyway, because I'm sure you'll be approved after you've finished your back story  . |
