"I always do what you tell me Mommy and you know that." She nodded excitedly at the mare and was about to get back into a normal position before a soft gasp left her, soon followed by a surpressed howl of pain as she stared down at one of her forelegs which had twisted in an angle that would render it completely broken and unuseable. A normal pony might be screaming for help or try to fix the bone but Amy just bit down on her lower lip, one of the fangs actually digging into the soft flesh. After a few more seconds of surpressing grunts and howls, the first of the two added legs shrivled up, a few slushing noises comming from the limb before it tore of clean from her body, the spot where the leg had been already covered back up with a hard layer of her normal chitin as the leg gave a few dead twitches on the ground.
Her eyes wandered over to the other leg she had added to herself before, knowing that the same fate would soon fall over that one as well. After losing one of the legs, her chest was covered a little in her own, sickly green blood, making her look a lot more messy than she had been before the Doctor had come to her room in the first place.

The mare did not flinch from this display, at most she gave off an air of light curiousness as she watched the rather gruesome display of this "filly"'s powers. Impressive is what it was for the doctor. Sure, it still needed refinement, but the ability Amethyst displayed was a great scientific success. It was reminiscent of a hydra perhaps, the regeneration and forming of limbs. This did cause the doctor to wonder for a moment how likely it was that if her head was removed, if she might regrow that as well... but the idea was quickly put aside. The risk was too great for the rewards presented with such results, plus the loss that would occur if it proved fatal... unwanted.
"Fascinating." She said softly, mostly to herself after Amethyst's display. "But very good Amethyst. Obedience to one's betters is a... desirable trait." She said with a light nod.

This time, Amethyst could only nod while biting down on her lower lip, her eyes somewhat clenched as the little creature tried her hardest to keep quiet and not show any weakness. After a few more seconds, the same fate would fall on the second added leg soon after, the slushing noises commning first as the blood in the leg was pumped back into her actualy body and then it fell off, twitching softly on the ground like a recently killed insect.
After the second leg left her body, another gasp forced its way out of her, her breathing somewhat heavy after the pain and exhaustion she just lived through. One eye almost shut, the other still open, her view focused back on Placenta to show that she was still awake and with the Doctor, a quiet and raspy sound building up in her throat. It almost sounded like the soft cry of an actual filly while she was sitting with a crooked back, trying to stay awake and show her strength.

Watching the filly like creature's pain, even as she tried to hide it, at this moment filled the doctor with a feeling other than simple fascination. It was... hard to describe for her, as it was a feeling not often, hardly even that, felt through here, and while she on the outside showed no signs of it, it filled her with a sense of inward curiosity... and slight worry. Attachment could after all be seen as a weakness...
In any case, it was most likely because of this that she offered Amethyst a soft (or rather, softer than usual) look and her voice, while still very stiff and formal, had a hint of sincerity to it. "...You are a very remarkable creature Amethyst. The results you have given me and keep giving are... excellent." She said, a single nod accompanying the end of her statement. This was a compliment, at least for the doctors usually very cold behaviour.

"T-Thanks Mommy. I-I'm trying real hard." Her last word was accompanied by another soft gasp as she nearly fell over because of the somewhat sticky blood her transformation had left on the floor beneath her, her muzzle touching the doctor's leg for only a moment before she managed to drag herself back into a sitting position, avoiding to touch the green pile of goo that now seemed even more sick compared to the otherwise white room and surroundings.
Not that Amethyst cared of course. To her it was all just colours anyway and stepping in her own blood was nothing new or disgusting to the filly. It wasn't like the liquid could harm her anyway so why should she be afraid of loosing some of it and having it on her chitin. So after this little stumbling mistake, she cleared her throat and began to force her breathing into a normal pace again to preserve energy. Mommy liked it if she showed efficiency and cooperation so this might make her happy if she saw that Amethyst was trying still.

"Naturally." She said, perhaps a bit quietly, in response, as she watched the filly's struggle. She nodded slightly at it, approval clear in her gaze. "...Simply remarkable." She said softly, more thinking loudly than actual words meant for Amethyst, lifting up her leg to watch the spot where Amethyst had nudged her.
She then watched the rather messy interior of the room, for a moment considering leaving it there to test Amethyst protection against such unhealthy environments, and further, sicknesses, but she in the end decided to not. It would be too unsafe, not to mention hard to observe unless done in a more controlled form. This was at least what she told herself. "Ah, I will have to take my leave now Amethyst. I am a busy mare after all." She said and then nodded towards the pile of goo. "And I'll get someone to clean that up. And... perhaps, since you've been such a good filly, I may get you something, yes." She admittedly was not the largest advocate of positive reinforcement, but there were results of its worth, naturally. "Tell me, is there anything you desire? Within a certain limit, naturally."

"Can I get paper to draw stuff on? I'm not supposed to take from the other ponies in coats but I'm all out of paper..." She put her lip into a slight pout as any young filly would in an attempt to evoke perhaps pity or liking for herself as she looked up at the other mare. Moments like these weren't so rare, where the little filly seemed more like a normal pony than a changeling test subject if it wasn't for her appearance. she wasn't trying to feed on the doctor's emotions (if that even was possible with a pony like Placenta) but simply tried to get her wish fulfilled.
She really did have no paper left and mother just told her not to steal from the scientists. It was only fair that she could get more papers to draw on in return for her not taking them without permission anymore. Amethyst loved to spend her time with drawing any kind of scene or memory she had in her slippy mind, some more horrifying, some actually pleasent and nice. The colors just seemed sickly with her having to use her own blood to draw rather than having the normal methods of painting. She didn't mind though and didn't even think about getting proper equipment for drawing. She just wanted paper.
