Chrysalis's speech. New Testament!
As crowds of confused and fearful ponies in Equestria began to fill the Canterlot main street to hear what their world might turn into, a dark and tall alluring figure stood proudly on the palace balcony. Clearing her rough throat for a speech they would all hear, proud beaming green orbs watched as masses filled the area around her. Grinning delightfully from ear to ear, the Queen of the changelings began to speak as her hooves stepped closer into the rays of sunlight for everyone to see.
"Attention Citizens of Equestria! I have a story to tell you all, and I surely hope you enjoy its lasting effects on what happened here today. Many centuries ago, I offered your Princess Celestia a deal, one I assumed she would be foolish to decline! I offered the sun goddess peace, for all my kind wanted was to live amongst your land freely and without fear! There was a lot riding on my plan to help every pony in this land, and of course a way to help us eat without ending lives as well.
BUT DO YOU KNOW what she said? That your kind was not ready for such monsters, that you puny ponies could not handle our ways of life and that we were not welcomed here! I warned her that she would rue the day and that this meant war. So I planned, and planned, and wouldn't you know it? Here I am."
The Changeling Queen offered a chuckle out loud, echoing from the alleyways to the sewers and even towards other towns as her rein soon began. While her amusement went on, the ponies watching had begun to droop their ears as others tried to listen in for her next words. They were scared and lost, hoping that their princesses would come out of the blue and save them from this nightmare.
"Your precious princesses have been defeated, your land taken over, now is the time for true peace to begin! Forget about the numbers you have lost, abandoned your silly old ways of loyalty. While you are living in this country, you will now obey the new leaders of this land!"
While eyes looked to each other in confusion to the word 'Leaders', the Queen merely smiled as a figure appeared next to her like smoke. Tall and frightening on her own, Nightmare Moon merely smirked at the crowd with malicious intent. On the other side of Chrysalis however, a fit of laughter erupted from a stallions voice, revealing none other then the King of shadows, Sombra. With them here, she spoke louder for the ponies to get the picture she painted for them.
"Mare's and Gentlecolts, your life in Equestria can be your worst nightmare, or a place of harmony, ultimately it will be your decision. King Sombra will rein over the Crystal Empire, Nightmare Moon and I will rein over the other territories, and you citizens will go about your lives the way they once were! All subjects will be given a home if there's is destroyed, all subjects will live accordingly in the towns of their choosing in Equestria. Here is a set of rules that everyone MUST follow in order for peace and harmony to exist in our land.
Rule Number ONE: All Citizens are required to meet up at the palace throne room once a month at separate times of our choosing. You will be giving us a share of your emotion called love and a bit of your energy for sustenance in return for your protection and home setting. You will get a summons in the mail and will have a few days to attend before our soldiers retrieve you personally. Remember, this does not hurt, and you only need to show up.
Rule Number Two: All Citizens will refer to us as their Queen's and King. Anypony caught wronging us or speaking ill will be brought here for questioning of your loyalty. If you refuse and have tried to run, you will be executed.
Rule Number Three: Absolutely NO pony will be able to leave this land without a permit given by one of us to do so. There will be guards at our borders, do not test us.
Rule Number Four: All Citizens will be given a job if they cannot find one, money will be given to the poor for a short while to help with the costs of living. You will not have to pay for your home, but you will have to pay for your food and other supplies. Whoever might need aid, will see one of us in our throne room for answers.
Rule Number Five: Treat others like you would wish to be treated. Now in Equestria, there will be an open peace treaty. Any creature may come here and gain a card allowing them to stay, once they visit us. Do not fear anything you are unsure about, for every thing on this planet has emotions too. Befriend a changeling, honor a timberwolf's land by giving wood, and over all, do onto others as they would do onto you.
Rule Number Six: If you or anypony you know is hiding a fugitive, give them in. There is no time for petty friendships when lives are on the line. If you are caught, you are both sentenced to death. Runners and stowaways will not be accepted in society around here. They threaten our peaceful open way of life and will not be tolerated!
Rule Number Seven: No secret societies of any kind will be permitted here. Princess Celestia and princess Luna will never come back, nor will the others, get over it and learn to open your eyes to new experiences!
Rule Number Eight: All Citizens may come to the throne room for any concerns they may have, we are not war lords, and will hear our your complains and or emotional thoughts as best as we can. Your lives are important to us, and we will do what we can to make the lives of Equestria stronger and at peace!
Rule Number Nine: Any attack on our lives will result in a fate worse then death. Any attack on a fellow citizen will result in prison time until you are brought to us.
Rule Number Ten: Any Citizens found horribly sick or injured are required to report it to the palace and immediately sent to the best hospital for care. Health Care is free as it should be.
And last of all, all Citizens will be responsible for their own actions. Understanding more about the creatures that live amongst you is a must, and a copy of their bio will be available in your local library. Unlike the old regime, dark magic will now be allowed to be studied, there is no restricted section, and any information you desire will be on the shelves for you to read. "
Allowing the information to sink in among the ponies of today, a few minutes had passed before hushed gossip began to be uttered from mouth to mouth, catching hold of the Queen's attention. Foolish ponies. Smirking and clearing her throat, Chrysalis felt inspired by the thought of how this day would change the way ponies and creatures lived forever. Raising her voice to speak through to the worrisome whispers and uncertain minds, quiet green flames had begun to shift from different sections of the crowds. Still unnoticed by many, it warmed the Queen’s dark heart to see her children standing before her this day, and the bug mare placed a hoof to her heart.
"From this day forth, we shall no longer be divided over what we look like. Our skin may be different, but our hearts stand as one! On this date, Canterlot will now be known for being Equals! Share with your brethren, feast with your pets, and enjoy life without the hate and judgement of another kind! From this day forward, savor equality for all!"
Cheers had begun to erupt from among the crowd as many changelings in the mist soon made themselves fully known with an overwhelming burst of green flames from all around. With hidden bugs transforming left and right around them, the citizens of Equestria gasped in shock. Not only were they everywhere, but they weren't attacking anyone. Unsure of what to think or do, many stood frozen, waiting for what might happen next. But as the changeling’s ignored them and lowered their heads in respect to the new leader, the ponies hesitantly and some willingly did the same. One thing was made certain, the Queen had eyes literally everywhere now. Afraid of execution or worse, many ponies big and small had solemnly given up their loyal values to the once noble princesses. Others had perked their ears to the Queen’s ideals of a new way of life and had begun to be won over. Whether it was from fright or the dawning hope of a better offer from their leaders, their lives were soon about to change forever.
