Whispering Aspen Grove
Midway up the mountain side grows a cluster of Aspen trees admist the lush undergrowth of wild flowers. This whimsical part of the forest has incredible views at its altitude and the breeze that rustles the aspen leaves are said to be the whispered tales of the mountain's past.
However, the cover of aspen tree leaves is not absolute and a pony risks being seen from the sky from any passing foe. Refugees are trained to keep spotter's eyes trained to the sky to watch out for their group as they gather valuable resources unavailable in other areas of the mountain.
Unique Area resources:
Aspen bark - can be processed into sugar, yeast, and pain medication.
Coltsfoot - wildflower used to soothe sore throats and temper bronchitis.
Aspen wood - used to build furniture for shelters, commons, and dining cavern.
Wild raspberries - fruit
Wild Hay - food and bedding
