As Cash moved away from the ancient castle the forest around him seemed to withdraw into itself, as if saying "You're leaving this time, but only because I'm letting you.". The fog wasn't so thick on the borders, and the plant life started to look more normal and less murderous, though a few stubborn types such as Poison Joke and the Great Vines made their presence known. The trees thinned out and the sky could be seen again, as well as the memorial monument of Nightmare Moon. It was said that the statue was a guardian, but whether that was of the forest or the land outside could never be known.

Cash let out a large, refreshing breath as he found himself able to see the sky again. What he also noticed was pinch of nostalgia. It's been a long time since he's traveled on hoof, what with him flying about with his brother. Made him feel kind of ashamed. All this solid muscle and nothing to show for it. A real waste. His trotting slowed to a stop as the statue came into vision. What i the world was a statue doing outside a forest he will never know. He got up close to inspect it and his eyes widened in shock. "Nightmare Moon?"
Was this like the gargoyles on top of Manehattan buildings? Something that looks respectively bad defending something from something that's way worse? And why one? Cash moved close to the base to the statue and started lightly digging with one hoof. Something of this significance had to have some trace to a magical gem. Unfortunately, even though he wasn't even trying, he found nothing. Before turning to leave, Cash took a moment to get one last look at the statue. "Dang, Ma always said the hot ones go the craziest." With that, he set off to his next destination. Cammy said that the nearest town had a castle, so for now, that was his best bet.
