All other roads leading into central Manehattan have been barricaded and closed off save for this one. What was once one of the main roads leading into Manehattan is now a closely guarded border gate between the inner city and the outer city and any who is not a proven loyal citizen is promptly turned away at nightfall.

[Enter Soldier & River Road]
Stepping up to the gate that questioned entry for every creature passing through, the changeling hadn't given it much thought. Upon watching them turn ponies down, he soon came to the conclusion that they needed to be legal. Turning to the red coated stallion, light blue eyes checked him thoroughly up and down. "Quickly, are you a filed ressident in thisss country?"

Standing in front of the entrance to the city, the two would not escaped the feeling of being watched, this both coming from the armed guards standing at the gates, as well as several contempt looks coming from the lines and groups of ponies who either waited to be given the chance to get in or simply stood and watched those trying.
"NEXT!" Came a shout, slightly distorted, from a speaker, and the line trudged one step forward yet again.

River shrugged. "Not by my own volition, but it sounded like you have a file on everypony in our town." He scoffed. "Probably enough to not have any privacy but not enough to get through that post. You gonna pretend I'm some kind of captive?" He looked around at some of the other ponies watching, occasionally shooting a glare back at them.

As if he forgotten, the changeling had shaken clear his fogged memory. Wincing at the loud next marker, River Road had been partially correct on the matter at hoof. "You need updated information isss all. I remember now. Her majessty ssent you letter." Glaring at him now for not responding to the Queen sooner, the soldier slowly approached the blockage. "Two entriesss pleasse. Ssoldier and citizen." Realizing he may need names, the creature felt embarrassed before clearing his throat to speak again. "Zu and River Road assk permisssion to enter."

River gestured at his traveling companion with a hoof. "What he said." He didn't remember another letter from Chrysalis, but then again he didn't particularly care either. If they only had old information on him, he sure as hay wasn't going to do their work for them.

One of the armed soldiers at the entry point was giving them a few gruff looks, his hold on his weapons tightening slightly as they approached. Nothing more happened there, as the guard seemed to have little purpose fighting one of the queens soldiers. The two however got several angry glares at their approach from the lines, clearly their way passing every one in line was not appreciated. Before anything else happened, a mare sitting at one of the entry points waved them over.
"This way please." She called, her voice rather stiff.

River tensed as well, raising his shoulders defensively a bit as he noticed all the glares. He made sure to pass them along, keeping all long similarly defensive all longed lightly hostile posture as they walked up to the mare.

"Thank you." Walking alongside the red coated stallion with little care to the glares around him, changelings were used to such afflictions. Even still, this was not his territory, and that meant, they were in control. Lowering his head and moving forward, the soldier reached the spot the mare had been calling to with a slow glance towards her face. "Yess?"

The mare at the entry station did at first nothing, seemingly preoccupied with a few documents that she had in front of her. When she well looked up, her face was a neutral and, to be quite honest, an emotionless one. When she opened her mouth to speak, her voice too fit this, it being a bit monotone and a little disinterested. "Names, occupations, purposes and papers please." She said to them, this line seeming to be an often-used one.

River trudged alongside the guard, stopping in front of the desk mare and observing her with a similar, if more annoyed expression. "Stepping Stone, scientist, personal business, no papers as far as I know."
He turned his head to his guard and raised an eyebrow, feeling admittedly a little bad for the changeling. Still, it wasn't like he had River's papers, and without them the other stuff was probably all the same.

Staring between the mare and River Road, the soldier nodded in a polite fashion. Stumbling over himself, it was clear he was nervous. Not well in thr field of being reprimanded, the changeling had lit his horn before holding a set of papers before him. While his data seemed correct, it was in fact just his. "Zu, ssoldier of Equestria, private ssector. Official businesss of the Queen. May we passs?"
(I apologize for the delay))

While Rivers presentation had the mare only sighing slightly, seeming to get ready to reprimand him for not having any papers, the changelings mention of being on official queen business had her straightening up a bit. When she spoke, it seemed to be almost with forced politeness, though it wouldn't be too hard for anyone to see that this information made her nervous. "Ah, official queen business was it? We loyal citizens of Manehatten are, as always, delighted to assist in any way possible." She glanced towards River for a few moments. "I take it he is with you then mister Zu was it? You see, we normally can't allow for anyone to enter from outside the Manehatten proper without the correct papers, a security reason, I'm sure you understand."

Closing his eyes in concentration, Zu tried to come up with any type of solution. "You are only doing your jobsss. Misss, perhapss an essscort would be appropriate in thesse circumstancess." Offering a soft smile, the changeling only yearned to get towards the train station without problems of any sort. "Train sstation needed for transsportation to the Queen." Needing to work on his hissing and language with the public in general, Zu wasnt quite certain if the red coated stallion was following any of this information as it was.

Like a bolt of lightning raining down from the sky, a magical bright yellow aura had struck the red coated stallion without mercy. Slowly transferring his body as fragments into the evening sky, River Road had suddenly vanished without a trace. Unknowing of his whereabouts. This was certainly not going to be easy to explain back at home. Dissipating in thin air, the yellow aura that once was, seemed to be but a figment of their imaginations.
[Exit River Road]

Panicked by River's sudden disappearance, Zu had panicked. "Whatss going on?!" Shifting around from all angles, the changeling had begun to back up from the citizens presence. Freaked out and assuming the worst, he bolted. Running as far away as possible, his only hope was to report to the Queen at once.
[Exit Zu]
