To leave the city and come in from the west side, most ponies must use this path as both and exit and entrance. Example: Snowy mountains, Crystal Empire, Ect.

[Enter: Astral Midnight from skies above]
It had been quite some time since Astral had seen Canterlot, and its current condition didn't seem too welcoming. He decides to take the rather long walk along the path, and into the city. Landing clumsily, Astral continues his journey on foot.
"This place has seen better days, that's for sure," Astral whispers to himself quietly.
Memories of running along this path with his friends in search of a new home after being kicked out of Cloudsdale fill his head. He quickly clears that thought from his mind. No matter how much time has passed, those memories still hurt. For now, he must focus on one thing: finding any source of information as to what has happened since he left.
Noticing an abandoned apartment building along his path, Astral decides to try and set up some form of shelter in there, just in case.

[Enter:Steel Soul]
Steel had heard about this place called Canterlot from his wife before she had left him. It was suppose to be a magical city of dreams, at least, that's what he was told. It wasn't until he had came into view of the city that the scope of the war hit him hard. The city in front of him looked nothing like he pictured it would, for good reason you, but still.
He traced a hoof slowly across a long forgotten building, ruined by the war "The Three" had brought upon this world.
Slowly, but surely, the stallion made his way down the path. Despite his misgivings about what happened to such a grand city, he had his own reasons for being here. He decided to check around here for a moment, to see if any pony would humor him with a conversation.

Standing over the abandoned building with needing paws stretching for the pounce, sharpened claws scraped against the brick exterior as a Lynx watched the seemingly innocent stallion wander around without a care in the world. Climbing down the buildimg with a small chuckle towards his direction, there was little room between them as her voice seemed to come from within. "You are quite brave to venture on your own. Tell me, are you afraid." Barring no teeth as any sign of threat, the large cat had begun to walk sideways. Making her way around him and incredibly light on her paws, its no wonder she wasn't discovered as he passed the building. Eyeing him up and down, this Lynx wasn't like the rest, that much was clear. Able to speak and communicate with ponies she deemed worthy, it wasn't everyday somepony ran into one of these. As the sun struck down on them through the leftover tree's from above, her eyes had begun to sparkle a vibrant blue, signaling more then he could have ever imagined.

It felt as though there was a small tickle on the back of his neck, despite such a small sensation though, he knew enough to never not trust ones gut. Steel became even more tense at the sound of the slight chuckle, almost feminine in tone. Still, even if it was a female, he would not let down. Slowly, but surely, the stallion turned to face the creature behind him. First and foremost, the stallion was surprised.
And yet...
Right now, while he could not feel any real malice from what he believed to be a her, he could tell by and his own standards that she was quite beautiful, her eyes enchanting to look upon. He was quite for a moment before turning fully to face her. Steel Figured that while he would not be relenting in his guard just yet, decided there was not point in being rude to somepony.
"Good evening, fair feline." Steel could at least identify a cat when he saw one, even if it was one as big as the one in front of him. "Is there something I may help you with?"

"Good evening indeed." Stopping short of a full circle, the particular feline observes his posture with slight amusement. Intrigued by the stallion's seemingly calm demeanour, her presence not affecting his own was a splendid reason to smile. "Perhaps there is a way we can help eachother." Sitting down before him, the Lynx knew he was suffering, she could help, if he allowed it.
Not wishing a bad thought on Steel Soul's body, the feline had lifted up her chin. Allowing the soft breeze to penetrate her fur, strands flowed to the side as her tuffed ears twitched in delight. Oh how she loved the winters to come. Deciding to get right to the point, the Lynx returned his gaze with her own. "I want something, but I cannot retrieve it. You want something, yet you cannot see it. There is a hole in your heart,.and only you can fix it. Choices make us who we are. Who are you?"

Steel was never one to hide his emotions well when it came down to it. The fact that she was reading him like a book was testament to that fact. He was missing something. A very important something he allowed to leave his sight. The fact that he allowed it to happen hurt him more than one would realize, even if it wasn't really his fault. Still, despite that fact that this feline was probing him for a favor, even if the two of them just met, he decided to hear her out...at least for now.
"Well...I can only be me..." The stallion rubbed the back of his head with a forehoof. "Don't know if that makes any since but...well...It's the best answer I can give in any case." Steel gave the creature a kind smile and a slight bow. "But how rude of me. I am Steel Soul. A wayward wonderer from the badlands. Who might you be?"

"Steel Soul, a wanderer lost in time it seems. You are a bright one with a bright future, that is, if you can let go of your past. It is a pleasure to be in your presence. My name is Lyn, a constellation once lost in this world you call home. I am young to my brothers, but not forgotten. It seems the ruler of this land took something very important to us, and I was sent to retrieve it. As you can see, A lynx such as myself cannot travel without some source of help."
Scratching her chin and watching Steel closely, his generosity had greatly outweighed the many creatures that resided here. Respecting his decision no matter what it may be, Lyn smiled, she was not a threat of any kind, that much was true. "I can understand, what is in it for you? Besides helping out an ancient constellation, there is a key component to your life located within." As if the feline knew his life before an explanation was recieved, her next words shown more of her powers then even she noticed. "For your wife's best friend is the one holding the key item. Surely this will be interesting for you both."

At first, Steel was more then a little confused by everything she was saying. Talk about constellations and the such throwing him for a loop a great deal. And then...She mentioned his wife. The stallion's eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets as his body stood stock still. It has been so long since he heard any information containing the one he was looking for, and for this creature, This...Lyn...To come out of the blue and tell him all of this...
He wasn't dealing with a normal cat by any means it seemed.
"Alright...You have my attention Miss Lyn." He told her, trying his best to keep his tone even. The stallion bit his bottom lip, hoping he was making the right decision. Sighing softly he gave Lyn a determined frown. "What is it I need to do?"

Judging by the stallion's confirming response, Lynx had waited no further. He was ready. "In the form of a crystal ball, there lays a magical artifact. In the wrong hooves, the ponies of today will be in more danger then ever before. This pony carrying it, is not to be taken lightly. He may have been your wife's friend, but he is not to be trusted. Do you understand? He goes by the name of Joxer."
Pondering how she could help him on his journey, the feline smiled in a warm fashion, his life would not become complete without some challenges along the way. "I feel time is of the essence. Find him, and perhaps your life questions will also get answers. At the very least, clues to what it once was. If you need me, look to the sky and call out my name. I shall do my best to appear."

In all honesty, such an answer was exactly what he was expecting from such a strange creature, riddles and all, but he was thankful none-the-less. Plus he was given a name to go on. This Joxer...Was he involved with his wife somehow, and if so, what was their relationship. Whatever it was it must have ended on a sour note if Joxer was not to be trusted. Still determination flowed though the stallion as he smile back at her.
"Thank you for your help miss Lyn. I'll be sure to look for this Joxer as best I can. And If I ever do need help, I'll be sure to call out to you, though I hope I won't be a bother to you when I do call you."

"Do not fret, you are doing me a favor. I will be there." Closing her eyes as if sealing the deal, Lyn had looked to her rear end, ensuring nopony was actually ease dropping on their conversation. "Be careful Steel Soul and good luck. I must go for the moment, watch for the skies, we are always watching." Leaping up and onto a large boulder, the feline gave one last glance back to her helper before leaping up and over the edge. Stretching as far as her paws could carry her, the lynx moved fast and steadily back through the forest, all in hopes of hiding back within once again.

Steel followed her movements until he could follow them no more. With a gentle sigh the stallion turned to make his way deeper into what was once called the greatest city in all of Equestria. Somewhere, deep in his gut, he knew that despite how far he had come from his homeland, he would only now just begin his journey.

[Enter Plush Ramen & Orange Glow]
Stopping to catch her breath, Plush Ramen had placed herself down on a log in wait. Knowing her guard was dragging behind due to her injuries, the mare remained patient. Rubbing at her sore wing, the bleeding had at least stopped, offering nothing but a pulsing clogged wound in its place.
Gazing up at the evening sky, blue orbs remained covered in doubt. Who was she? Why was she still alive? What purpose did she bring to this new reign? The questions baffled her so, leaving nothing but a stressed beadache. Yearning to be next to him, the mare's heart ached for the one she could no longer see. Pained by these memories, Plush wanted them all to an end. For maybe then, and only then, could she find a way to live happily.
"Nightmare, kill me now.."

"Trust me of all the ponies who could get a hold of you, Nightmare is the last one you'd want." Orange said as she popped up behind Plush.
If anything she was walking at a slow pace to keep and eye on Plush, she could still fly, while she doubted Plush could. Orange sat besides the other injured mare and cast her as friendly a smile as she could muster. They were in this for the long hall together and could tell something was plaguing the mare again. She could only guess what it was, but she had and idea. Orange thought for a moment for anything else to bring up to change the mood. Ultimately falling short of and idea Orange sighed before turning to her normal pony form, in the green flash of her magic their was a secondary white flash near her flank. The flash went unseen to Orange as she spoke up.
"Are you still thinking about that bat?" She said softly

Twitching an ear to the halflings sudden approach, her head turned lightly with a low huff. What would she know about it? Struggling to accept what her life has become, Plush chuckled at Orange Glows words. Haunting her every move, his presence never seemed to disappear. His voice, soothing to the morning sun. His face gracing her with a nights end, it never seemed to disappear. Holding her hooves to her head, the raven maned pegasus offered a low whine.
"He's in my head.. Orange, I need to find him... I need to.. Oh who am I kidding. Nightmare wouldn't have made me wait for death. She'd give it away graciously."

"Well I don't know what to tell you Plush. I think I know where she sent him, but we are not going there." Orange shudders at the very thought of it.
Orange went to inspect her leg wound, but something caught her eye as she did. There was a picture on her flank.. A Cutie Mark? Orange gasped loudly as she saw it and tried to get a closer look.
"Plush! I got my Cutie Mark!" Orange sounded happy for at least the moment.
The Cutie Mark was an image of a Wolverine's face being taken up in swirls and sparkles turning into a Bunny.

"Where is that??"
Getting ready to lunge at the mare as if she were her worst enemy, the hatred in her eyes had begun to soften. Glancing down to Orange's hip with widened pleasantly surprised orbs, Plush had actually smiled. Knowing how important this was to the mare, her excitement seemed to grow. She could wait on her dreams for a few more days, right?
"Orange.. thats amazing. You finally have your mark!"

Orange's eyes tear up a bit in realization. "After so many years of thinking I'd never get one.. I finally did!"
Orange jumped with joy, instantly regretting her decision as she forgot about her hoof for at least a couple of moments. She flinched the moment she hit the ground, the pain was certainly real, but she was far to overcome with joy to care. She spent a few moments looking at her flank with a huge dorky smile. "I did it."

Giving the halfling her moment in time, Plush winced at the mare's hooves resurfacing to the hard ground. That must have hurt. Smirking at Orange Glow's pride, the mare shook her head with humor insinuated. Eyeing up the detailed transformation mark, its stunning magical element consumed even the older ponies of today. Showing a pony their true destiny, a cutie mark as it were was nothing to joke about. Nor was it an easy fate. To appear on someones flank without any explanation as to what it means, an uncertain pony could take it in a number of ways.
"You did it. You can transform things. Thats.. amazing. Creepy, but spectacular. Magic can be so mesmerizing at the worst of times. You should show your uh Queen.. isn't this an exciting m-om moment?"
Trying to seem innocent and less bitter towards her end, an old flash back had begun to screen through her exhausted and mentally drained head. Seeing her mother as she tried and tried again to get her own cutie mark, her mother had never allowed her daughter to give up. With a soothing warm voice that continued to make her feel safe, her old family was but a distant memory. Never getting the chance to find out her cutie mark while she was still with her real family, turning back to it now, she was rather reflexive. Back then, she had saved her friends from certain doom, her quick cat like reflexes were the only thing that had gotten them out of such a pickle. Now look at her.. Some hero she turned out to be.

"The Queen?" Orange thought about it for a few brief moments casting a frown on her face nearly stopping her little fit of dancing.
The queen wouldn't care, she'd just cast the thought a side and be convinced that she was more like ponies then her lovely changelings. Granted while she was going to show the queen either way there was a pony who she wished she could see again to show her. Her sister would have been ecstatic and probably would have thrown a party for her. This realization only cause her frown to worsen eventually leading to a sigh.
"Yeah, I guess it is kinda creepy.. But what can you do, apparently it's my talent." Orange chuckled.

Watching the expression in Orange Glow's face change so drastically, Plush wondered if she hit a nerve. Was life in Equestria not as gleeful as the creature thought? Judging from her emotional dilemma, the pegasus regretfully tried to approach the subject with different intentions. Hoping to turn this around somehow, the mare had to admit she really just wanted to go back. Continuing her walking pace and hating that she now couldn't fly, the frustrated pony had looked back as if questioning the halflings next moves.
"Its not creepy, its unique. Does your Queen not mother? By looks of it, you seem almost scared. Is this true?"
Imagining the Queen hurting her daughter for such a gift, the thought alone disgusted her. Who could do such a thing? This was a time for celebration, for happiness in a pony's life, but for a changeling, this could probably also be dire. Not having the emotionsl stability to dig further into her life story, Plush walked on.
