Queen's Bed Chambers.

[Queen Chrysalis]

Listening carefully to his confessions, Chrysalis remained still. Reading through his emotions down to the last drop, her palpitations seemed to be growing worse. What was with these ponies and their warm fuzzy words! Tossing the thought process completely, his sincere apology struck her good.

"Your apology is accepted. As my trusted, and newest /personal/ guard, I must say, I'm impressed."

Offering a smile to his well appreciated work, the Queen had an awfully hard time opening up to anyone. For this, was a rare moment. "Congratulations on the promotion soldier."

[Strong Defense]

Blowing deeply to the queen. Strong was right, flattery was the way to go. It seemed to to be the trick if he wanted her to be put at easy and open up more. With that in mind Strong continued. 

"I was a captain in my old life, but being at your side to keep you safe is a honor beyond a simple rank." Giving her a sincere smile.

"I've strengthened your wards and added mental ones as well. Oh, and in the future I have no problem with you feeding off me, but please do try not to kill me by doing so." 

[Queen Chrysalis]

Humored by the stallions brute honesty, the Queen laughed in mere delight. The situations he led himself into were quite blindful to say the least. Gazing at his disposition however, Chrysalis smiled. He worked hard to ensure her saftey, surely she could properly thank him.

"Strong Defense, you amuse me. We have a deal. Your life will not be taken by me. In fact, you are to be the safest pony in equestria. How does that make you feel?"

[Strong Defense]

"To be honest... normal. I've always been the safest pony in equestria. No one is my equal in defense magic. My goal is to make you, seeing as you are the most important person to safeguard, and then everyone else to share in some of my safely." Show of a bit, Strong gestured to the queen to look closer and the spell on the room. 

"It's far from the state where I will see it as complete, but I could with great effort place this spell over all of Canterlot. The problem is it takes to long to put up and It won't let anyone come or go free. I'm working to solve the latter of the two problems." 

[Queen Chrysalis]

Roaming the inside of bedroom, a hoof went to inspect the walls. Feeling their magnetic magical energy through what felt to be a complex spell, she smiled. If the world continued to send talented useful ponies like this, she'd have the world on her hoof tip. Grinning at the thought, she turned to face him with a new impression.

"Very well done. This spell must have taken years to accomplish. I am impressed. To do such expert level shielding, it weakens your chances of ever learning a major offensive attack. Which, in this case, it brought you to me."

[Strong Defense]

Smiling and enjoying the complement. It had been to long since some pony had truly appreciated his craftsmanship. Letting a playful smirk show on his face.

"Oh, if you're impressed with this mere porto-type I'll have you spooning over it's finished form. It will not only protect from external forces, but internal as well. That is to say It will work to protect the citizenry from harm as long as their inside it, no matter what form it takes."

[Queen Chrysalis]

With his powers at her control, Chrysalis grinned eagerly. It was about time she had an upper hoof in the field. Getting rid of the other leaders wasn't going to be an easy feat. Moving to the door, a hoof reached out to touch the handle. Halting last minute, her ingenious mind had a thought. A wonderfully abscure thought.

"My child. You are quite the fascinating pony. Tell me, would registering our citizens help with this shield system? That way, they could in fact leave and go as needed. A simple chip perhaps? Those that do not have such a thing, cannot leave until properly chipped? On the risk of sounding controlling, there are dangers id like to avoid."

Turning to face him, the Queens facial features returned to a genuine smile. In the end, she had merely wanted to keep her subjects safe. Whether they were pony or her own kind. That was the promise she offered them. If he could help achieve it, her results would be endless! Furthermore, she could finally get a hold of any that opposed! But he certainly did not need to know that much.

"My subjects deserve to know they are well taken care of. While my soldiers are everywhere, that dragon was prove of our blind spots. I want to trap those who threaten us. So that I can personally handle it before it results to this level of destruction. Surely you understand."

[Strong Defense]

Tapping his nose in a knowing gesture. "I think that's a little too obvious your majesty. Also I have a way to let people through."

Moving up to the queen, Strong made some quick changes to his spells on the two. He opened the door and held it open for her.

"There now you and I should be the only ones capable of exiting or entering this room. Oh and I do apologize if I slip, but powerful mares have always been especially beautiful to me and I'm a natural flirt."

[Queen Chrysalis]

Letting go of the conversation for the moment, the Queen turned to his grin with one of her own. What a fool. "You humor me." Giving little to no interest in his flirting ability, Chrysalis strode out the door. If the King wanted to mess with her things, she was going to do the same to him. Growling lightly, her good mode had begun to turn sour.

"If he adds one bloody crystal to my throne room, slaves will roll!"

[Exit Chrysalis to Palace hallway]

[Strong Defense]

Hm... the queen had not turned his offer down, but neither she taken him up on it. Strong was not sure if changelings didn't put their guards to such use or if it was something else. The way she had acted about that kiss and her demeanor had he curious, but he would have time to think about that later. Mentally shrugging, Strong took a quick look over himself to make sure he was presentable, then followed the queen out the room.
