Shifting to the changelings in the room, Chrysalis could feel her mental stability with these ponies today going south as a hoof went to her forehead in frustration. An unexpected visitor? Immediately thinking of the King, the Queen rolled her eyes at the thought before offering a small chuckle to the armored changelings words. This was going to be fun. Shifting her attention to Basilisk, her voice had made a clear ahem motion to announce they were done.
"Basilisk. You are dismissed. And my son, bring him in."

The changeling looks up at his queen.
"Of course my queen... Though I think I should tell you that it's the newly crowned Sultan of Saddle Arabia, along with twenty armed ponies..." He hisses slightly.

Growling, Nova leaves the queen and her servants to herself, not wanting to be involved with something with her anymore for now.

Orange walked over to the Queen's side motioning for Plush to follow, but once they got close would motion for her to stop so she would be just a few feet from herself and the Queen. Orange felt a bit worried at the sound of the princess coming and with armed guards, though it was wise on his side.. Perhaps.. "Any idea why he has arrived mother?"

"What! THE SULTAN?!"
Completely bewildered by the news, Chrysalis could almost feel her anxiety levels starting to rise. This was not the time for such important matters! Shifting to Orange, her stern gaze was one she could not erase so suddenly. Wishing the city was.more prepared for his arrival, the Queen shook her head to her daughter with obvious concern and frustration. Perhaps there was good news on his behalf.
"Bring him here immediately! And make sure all that speak to him can speak damn Equestrian! I don't need the Sultan thinking less of us. Retrieve him now."

The changeling bowed, then rushed out of the room.

Inching closer with Orange Glow, she stopped according to instructions as the mare attempted to continue to avoid eye contact. What was she to think of this whole situation? Was Joxer merely a slave to her will, or was he so much more? Not understanding how a creature like her could defeat the princesses and want to rule the land as the hero, Plush Ramen had merely stayed silent. She was beyond awkward and glad to see ponies leaving, an important visitor was apparently a big deal as she found herself zoning off. 'I need a shower..'

Watching him leave, the Queen of the Changelings had turned to Joxer with utmost importance. Seeing him had brought her the realization that there was still so much that needed to be done in this second. Rubbing her head with a hoof, she questioned speaking to him in a stressed tone. Shifting to her daughter and the traitor, Chrysalis avoided growing at her presence so soon. Hoping Orange Glow would get the mental memo, the tall holed mare had tried to focus on one thing at a time.
"Orange Glow. Speak. We have an important guest coming in soon and I need this throne room clear of prisoners."

"Plush seems unmotivated to fight, if there is anyway we could potentially offer Night as a prize maybe you could get a true show out of her. She loves that Bat a lot. I know he attacked you and murdered our breathern.. But it would be worth bringing out her inner passion in the fight to serve as a spectical." Orange said looking to Plush towards the end. She was obviously in no shape to fight right now and Orange knew it. The Queen held these fights to attract an audience of sorts and a bad fight is no good.

[Enter Sultan Azarin, along with twenty heavily armored, armed ponies. ]
Well, they weren't speared down at the gates, that was more welcome than he would have gotten in the Crystal Empire if his reports were accurate. Spotting the Changeling Queen, along with a few unfamiliar faces, Azarin smiled. Now was the time to put on the fake charm, hopefully things would go smoothly.
"Chrysalis! I'd say it's been too long, though I don't recall us ever meeting in person."
The newly crowned sultan bows out of respect, not submission.
"I have to say, I love what you've done with the place. "

Unable to respond to Orange Glow before the Sultan's arrival, Chrysalis had offered a fake and amusing smile right back. Not seeing him age a bit from her files on the sand ponies, the Queen had stood up. Offering a small bow in return to his own royalty, keeping the peace would hopefully be a piece of cake. That was, if no-one decides to mess it up. Thinking of her subjects, the thought never dawned on her that they could enter at any time. Deciding to take things as they came, Chrysalis stepped off of her throne room chair to walk towards the Sultan personally.
"Humorous and charming. Tell me, what brings you to our kingdom so suddenly? I would have been more prepared with a welcome party."

His guards spread out, as the Sultan himself meets the Queen half way. Saddle Arabian's were generally taller than Equestrian ponies, though Chrysalis still had Azarin beat in the height department. Oh how she reminded him of a bizzaro version of Celestia... Azarin had to mentally remind himself not to stare at her holes.
The desert pony offers her a confused look.
"Oh? The courier pigeon must have died, or gotten confused then. " he lied to her face. Azarin purposely wanted to drop in without warning, that way he could see how her subjects actually lived day to day, not some fake made up utopia.
"I've come here today because... Well, I feel like there is a bit of tension between our nations, due to my father's rather hasty actions."
He of course, was refering to the fact that his father, the late Sultan Saladin, had sided with Celestia and Luna during the war.

Attempting to read into the Sultan's emotion barrier for a hack at his feelings vs his words, Chrysalis was pleased to find little difference. In a normal pony, a changeling could sense emotion that came off of the creature like a wave. Whether.they were nervous, scared, happy or sad, it all could be read without the need to use magic. Not sensing much out of the sand stallion, it could be determined that his words were actually true. Unlike the King, Chrysalis tried to rely on trust and benefit of the doubt chances before assuming the worst.
"Blasted birds these days. And bad tension? I have not heard much from your land since the wars endings. I apologize for the blood shed that had arose from both lands. It seems Celestias protection was little to nothing for her allies that came to help. Pathetic. I assure you, I intend to do things very differently. Equality is what this nation needs, and if they need to see peace and harmony amongst different cultures, i must whole heartedly agree. What is your opinion on the matter Sultan?"

He couldn't tell if Chrysalis was sincere with her apology, or just keeping up appearances. Likely both, to varying degrees. The Sultan sighs slightly, idly trotting over to one of the many windows.
"Equality. An admiral goal, considering two thirds of your population is considered a food source to your species. I mean no disrespect of course, I did not come all this way simply to criticize the way you run your kingdom. After all, I'm sure there are many practices my countrymen partake in that you would find questionable... Such as slavery. "
He hums to himself slightly. There was no such thing as 'equality', in a nation run by a monarch.
"I desire peace as well. What my father did costed us too many lives. "

"We have an organized routine for feedings that benefits us all here in the nation with noone getting harmed. Your curiosity is welcomed of course. Slavery for me is not something I care for. Why keep them around if they despise you?"
Admiring his honesty, had this stallion been the same one others spoke so poorly of? Understanding his concern where her food sources had come in, her organized planning if serviwordst love was indeed different then most. Being told from the gecko just how stupid love taxes were, the Queen shook off the doubt rather well. Hearing it all before and from her partners, Chrysalis smirked and nodded to his last few words.
"What your father did, does not in any way effect how this nation feels about you and your culture. What the citizens need is proof that you are not a threat to us. They have been through one war already, they do not wish to see another arise. I am willing to sign a peace treaty if that is what allows us to grow as a whole."

"Ah yes, a peace treaty!" The Sultan smiles and motions over a few of his guards. One sets up a foldaway table, and several chairs, while the other places shot glasses and a strange looking bottle. Azarin himself sits down.
"Come Chrysalis, let's discuss the terms. "
He looks over to the changeling and the Orange pegasus.
"Come, sit. Have a drink."

"Yes, lets."
Grinning uncontrollably to his words, the Queen of the changelings had been ecstatic over just how well this whole presentation had been. Pleased that he was being so mature and reasonable about the past, Chrysalis could only strive for the future as she moved towards the table. Sitting down, green focused orbs shift to the creatures he was indeed talking to. Wanting to laugh off of her chair, her silent smirk was enough as a simple head movement offered her daughter to join them if he was offering.
"Orange, Joxer, Come over here and meet the Sultan. Don't be rude."
Completely ignoring the orange pony as if she didn't exist, Chrysalis turned to the desert stallion with respect. She may have been a tyrant and war lord, but she was a well known, well powerful, and well honorable mare when it came to treaty's and keeping her word to those who honored it.

Shifting awkwardly with the question she wanted the Queen to answer most unresolved, Plush Ramen had tried to keep her mind at ease. What if she simply wished to ignore it? What if she doesn't want to let Night see her? What if Night's be tortured by her gruesome soldiers! With a panicked and lost mind at bay, the black raven maned pegasus had sat down in the corner of the room in a stress ball of feelings.
To the naked eye, she was just an awkward pile of uncertainty, but to changelings, she was a headache for their scale of reading emotions. Sure the Queen could probably tune her out, Plush had leaned her head against the wall, attempting to help in the ignoring process as she felt the embarrassment only grow. Can she just go back to the prison now? If there was no promise of closure from her old.. friend? Lover? and no talking to Joxer, to her, there was no other reason to be out in the real world. 'Why can't I just go.. Joxer.. Take me away from here.. Anywhere..'

Orange walked up to the Stallion. "It's nice to meet you Sultan Azarin" Orange gave him a quick now, though it wasn't that low more of a curtsey. Then she looked over to Plush rubbing her temple, she walked over slowly after greeting the Sultan.
"Calm down, calm. We will get our answer soon. Be patient.. Then I'm going to throw you into a shower.." Orange holds her nose in mock disgust, though in this day and age she didn't care for foal smells. She had grown use to them.

Joxer, after hearing the issue that Orange brought up before the Sultan arrived, glared at Orange with a mild anger, but as soon as the Sultan stepped in his expression cleared, jaw locked as everything proceeded. He hums softly in acknowledgment of the Queen's invitation while all the while watching Plush with worried and emotional eyes. After Orange introduces herself Joxer steps forward and bows deeply before standing at attention.
"It is indeed a pleasure to meet you, Sultan Azarin. I'm glad that you could come to such an agreement with our Queen." He smiles sincerely before his eyes twitch in anger at what Orange was doing, cracking his jaw slightly.

The Sultan cocked his eyebrow slightly at the Orange mare in the corner. It was clear that she didn't want to be here, and by the way that Chrysalis shrugged her off it's doubtful that she wanted her here either. Nodding politely at the two ponies addressing him, his full attention never left the mare.
"I'm not sure how well versed you ponies are in world history... But long ago, before the sultans took hold of my country, Arabia was ruled by nomadic warlords. They would squabble amongst themselves over petty land disputes, greed, wealth... Some would even declare war on their neighbour out of sheer boredom. "
He chuckles slightly, as the guards pour a strange, strong smelling black liquid into each ponies shot glasses. Even the guards were pouring themselves drinks.
"In the rare instance that peace was actually declared, a celebration of sorts would be thrown. All who witness the act of peace shall drink together, from the lowliest peasant to the mightiest of kings..."
Taking his own shot glass, he smells the thick drink. It was a very common drink in Arabia, not for its taste... For the love of the gods it tasted awful... But for its deeper meaning.
The Sultan locks eyes with the Orange pegasus, gesturing to a seat right next to him.
"You there... Come join us. This is a wonderful thing, and all of you should partake. "

Orange looks at the liquid silently questioning if it was some attempt at assassinating her Queen. It would be a good plan after all, come in the name of peace just to kill her beloved mother. Orange looked to Plush and motioned for her to listen to him. Orange kept her gaze focused on the shot glasses, daring not to drink before one of his men had it to drink. Though they could be immune to any poisons they'd give..
Orange looked to the Queen expressing her worry with her eyes.

Noting Orange Glow's concern, Chrysalis tried to reassure her that everything was okay. He was the Sultan after all, he wouldn't want to start a war. Glancing to Joxer and noting his discomfort, the Queen tried to laugh at what the desert stallion was suggesting. He clearly did not know the situation that he himself interrupted.
"Oh don't mind that creature. She is nothing more then a traitor to our land and a prisoner we are training for the arena games. Which by the way, as a friend of this nation, i strongly urge you to join us on that exciting and amusement filled watch."
Noting the tension from her subjects, Chrysalis tried to offer nothing but smiles to them all. Taking the Sultan's offered drink, she placed it upwards to toast before smelling its contents. Hiding just how revolting the smell was, Chrysalis offered a small smile in preparation for their treaty to be.
"This smells interesting. Of what flavor?"

Getting so much attention and not wanting it, Plush tried to listen to Orange Glow's words. Moving slightly towards them, something stopped her as her gaze shifted to Joxer. He was.. mad? Not understanding why, the hesitant and uncertain pegasus simply stayed put. The Queen was right, why would someone like her join in this treaty when she is personally not involved? Used to disrespecting the best of them at this point on, she might as well be the prisoner everyone thinks she is and ignore him. After all, who would want to join in with a bunch of ponies that don't want her there?
"I'm.. I'm good."

Azarin smiles at the queens question.
"Believe me, you don't drink it for the flavour..."
That was when the room fell silent. All of the sultan's guards looked absolutely outraged at Plush's refusal. Even Azarin looked somewhat baffled. In Arabia, it was considered beyond insulting to refuse a drink in peace, nearly villainous. Much like a slap to the face. It sends the message that you are not only against the peace being presented, but you have a personal distaste for the pony offering.
The armored ponies all glare at the clueless pegasus in hatred. Azarin on the other hoof, merely looked intreagued, if not a little insulted. For whatever reason, his attention was always ripped away from whatever he was doing and focused on the mare. she was certainly a mystery.
"So, it seems we have a pony who spits in the face of hospitality, and wonders why she's loathed by her peers..." He states, more speaking to himself than to Plush. Smirking, he glances to Joxer.
"Save for you I suppose. I've seen the way you two are looking at each other... You two share some sort of personal connection if I am not mistaken."

Blinking in disbelief, an ear twitched at the Sultan's words, things were definitely misunderstood here. What did he know? He was an outsider to their world. Glancing around her, the hatred look in their eyes had been like nothing she had seen before. Gulping and trying to step back, blue orbs questioned actually turning around and saying something. It wasn't her place to say anything, yet here she was, getting insulted. Still, she deserved this. She deserved all of this and more. If it wasn't for them.. she would still be rotting in her cell. If it wasn't for them, she could still be sleeping without this embarrassment and stress.
Whipping back at the sound of him talking to Joxer, the comment he had made was beyond his business. Trying to control the emotions flickering through her system, a lone thought crossed against her mind. 'If I leave now.. I'll never see Night Whisper or Joxer again..' With this in mind, she stayed silent for a moment on. Questioned continued to enter into her brain as her mind processed through its thoughts. Who was she anymore? An ex villain? A prisoner with no life left? A raging psychopath? Or a lost soul trying to find her way back to the living. Flashing through these, the mare stepped forward with an ounce more of courage then she had before.
"I know why I am loathed by my peers. And what I had with old friends is none of your business. Now if you'll excuse me.. I'm going back to my cell. Where I belong. Have a nice life, or don't."
Speaking through despite her doubts, Plush begun to move towards the door. Expecting guards to follow her out or kill her, whatever came first, the mare hadn't cared. In fact, she wished for death. Knowing she was not that lucky, her hooves moved in a well balanced motion, all except one in particular. Scarred and given a slight and barely noticeable limp, what once was a gash from a set of bat pony teeth were now healed enough to walk on completely. Still burning lightly every once in a while from him hitting blood vessels, it was all just a cruel reminder of what used to be.

Joxer blinks in surprise at the reaction he just witnessed, watching Plush for a moment, fearing for her. He freezes as the Sultan talks to him, his eyes blinking in surprise at his observation and, well, statement. He had opened his mouth to say something, his whole body aching to say something, but Plush beats him to it.
Waiting for her to finish what she sad he frowns and quickly teleports Plush to his side, with her now facing towards the sultan. Joxer bows apologetically and holds Plush close. "My lord, we do indeed have a history together, but we would rather not that discuss that at this moment in time. You have done a great deed to come here and make this treaty, and to show that she meant no harm towards your will, she will drink with us if she is able. She will need some water after it, I do think, because she has not had water in a long time since any alcohol does indeed require water from the body. So if you could please forgive her for at first not drinking with us, I would be truly enamored of you, as well as thankful." He sends a look at Plush, trying to keep her quiet.

"I'm sorry my lord, please forgive the mare she lost her manners sometime ago while being locked away from pony kind, she just wishes to be alone and isn't ready for confrontation from other ponies, royals or not."
With that Orange looks to Plush with a pleading look, which wold be new to nearly everypony in the room.

The sultan merely shakes his head at Joxer, satisfied that he was indeed right over anything. Even before the stallion confirmed it, it was clear that his words rang true by the mare's tantrum.
"There is no need to apologize, nor is there a reason to keep her here by force. If she is dead set on storming off, she has every right to. " Azarin was never one of those leaders that punished his subjects for simply being rude. That, and the Orange mare wasn't even his subject to punish. He turns his attention to the black maned pegasus.
"I will offer you one piece of advice however... If you respond rudely to a gesture of kindness, don't act surprised when you are met with hostility." A sime lesson, though one that a shocking amount of ponies seemed to forget. He chuckles.
"My, it seems I've made this toast very awkward. Apologies everypony. "
He raises his glass.
"To the new found friendship of Equestria and Saddle Arabia. May there be no more bloodshed between Arabians and Changelings. "
He, along with all of his guards, down their drinks in a quick swig. It was strong and vile tasting, though most Arabian's were simply used to it at this point.
He smiles and looks to Chrysalis.
"So, you are the one who proposed this treaty. It is only fitting that you begin with your terms. "
